Prerequisites:  1) Fill out the application form (see below). You will be contacted by February 1 about your application status. 2) Complete a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course (check here for added January MBSR course dates); 3) Willingness to commit to a daily mindfulness/compassion practice for at least 6 months following the training and while leading groups.

It is not necessary to have a clinical degree to attend the training. However, in order to lead MTPC as a clinical treatment and bill to insurance, you must be a licensed mental health or primary care clinician.

After the training: Individuals who complete the training will have basic skills required to lead mindfulness groups in a variety of settings, including clinical settings. Those wishing to lead the specific MTPC intervention will be required to pair with MTPC faculty for weekly mentorship for the first two groups that they lead following this training. Individuals who have co-led two groups with mentorship may apply for Level 1 Certification which will certify them to lead without mentorship in the future.
