Presentation Description:

To be well, to be whole, is a skill that many of us struggle with on a daily basis- and this becomes strikingly evident in the workplace where we spend much of our lives. Come explore the journey that the Ohio State Medical Center is taking by utilizing mindfulness programming as a means of both burnout prevention and resiliency building for the healthcare professional. The research evidence supports a return on investment – both for the organization, and for the individuals that make up the organizational culture. Learn about the impact it can have on a health system, one employee at a time. Intentional, data driven implementation, using integrative health techniques to support the workforce. In this scenario, both provider and patient win, as providers learn the value of integrative health approaches for themselves, they may become open to sharing these techniques with those whom they serve.
