The next opportunity to join us is Tuesday, September 1, for our Scientific Frontiers of Healing series with Dr. Andrew Ahn. In part two of his presentation on “Wired for Wellness: Bioelectrical Mechanisms, the Interstitium, and the Whole-Body Signaling System of Acupuncture,” Dr. Ahn will take a deeper look at fascia, connective tissue, and interstitial fluid.
Join us for a 90-minute deep dive, followed by dedicated time for Q&A and discussion.
The goal of this series is to create a rigorous, curiosity-forward forum for exploring frontier topics in health and healing – where we can examine emerging (and sometimes not-yet-fully-tested) hypotheses while staying grounded in physiology, biophysics, and measurable mechanisms.
Speaker: Dr. Andrew Ahn brings an interdisciplinary perspective to this series. As an internal medicine physician, former MIT Advanced Study Fellow in biological engineering, researcher of acupuncture mechanisms, lead medical advisor for the prize-winning Team Dynamical Biomarkers (Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE), and Chief Medical Officer of a digital health startup, his work sits at the intersection of biophysics, physiology, and traditional healing arts. This series will draw on that experience to probe plausible mechanisms underlying integrative therapies – and to frame testable questions for research and clinical translation.
