The two-day event will take place on September 18-19, 2023. The focus of this first inaugural conference on Tai Chi & Qigong as Whole Person Health is, ‘Advancing the Integration of Mind-Body Practices in Contemporary Healthcare’. The conference aims to attract a diverse group of international scholars, practitioners, and healthcare administrators and policymakers to not only address the current evidence base of Tai Chi, Qigong, and related mind-body practices, but also to explore topics integral to its growing and emerging role in whole person health, nationally and internationally. We intend the dialogue of this conference to be relevant across multiple mind-body disciplines and movement-based practices.
This conference will be held at a new, state of the art facility, Mass General Brigham at Assembly Row – embedded within a vibrant new commercial development along the Mystic River on the outskirts of Boston. We anticipate attracting participants from around the world for this in-person event. In addition to keynote and plenary presentations, the agenda will include invited abstracts for poster and oral presentations, theme-centered symposia, and opportunities for networking and socialization. Performances and experiential sessions led by Boston area Tai Chi and Qigong experts will add important context for the event.
