Osher Center for Integrative Health

2026 Tai Chi & Qigong Conference

Building on the success of our inaugural conference, we are delighted to welcome and invite you to the second international conference on The Science of Tai Chi & Qigong as Whole Person Health. Located in historically and culturally rich Boston, Massachusetts, and hosted by the Osher Center for Integrative Health—jointly based with the Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital – this conference promises to be another landmark event. The focus of this conference will be to more deeply explore the impact of mind-body movement practices across multiple physiological systems and to synthesize and share novel insights and rigorous scientific evidence informing the therapeutic benefits of Tai Chi/Qigong.

The two-day event will occur on Thursday, April 30 & Friday, May 1, 2026.  The focus of the second conference on Tai Chi & Qigong as Whole Person Health is, ‘Deepening Our Physiological Understanding of Mind-Body Integration’.

We anticipate attracting participants from around the world for this in-person event.  The conference aims to attract a diverse group of clinical and basic/translational scientist, international scholars, mind-body practitioners, healthcare administrators and policymakers to not only address the current evidence base of Tai Chi and Qigong (TCQ)—but also to explore topics integral to the growing and emerging role of TCQ in whole person health, nationally and internationally. We intend the dialogue of this conference to be relevant across multiple mind-body disciplines and movement-based practices.
