Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR): This world-renowned program has been completed by over 30,000 people world-wide. Through this 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course, participants learn tools to foster mindfulness, reduce stress, enhance resiliency, and bring attention to engage with the challenges of everyday life. Open to: individuals with all levels of mindfulness and meditation experience, including beginners.

Time: Wednesday Evenings, 6:00 – 8:30 PM

Orientation: September 26, 2018
8-Week Course: October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7, 14, (skip week of 21 for holiday), 28, 2018
Retreat: Saturday, November 3, 2018, 9 am – 4 pm

Instructor Details

Malka Yaacobi, DMA, CHI™ earned a DMA  from the Eastman School of Music and served as the conductor of the Tufts University Symphony Orchestra. She and the group performed in over 15 countries and offered workshops to thousands of children nationally and internationally. Malka has trained at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society at UMass Medical School in Worcester, MA, and is trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy with its founder, Richard Schwartz. She is a Certified Healthcare Interpreter and has been connected with Cambridge Health Alliance since 2009. She is committed to patient advocacy and to sharing her passion for mindfulness and self-compassion with the community.

Natalia Cepeda, M.A. is a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and Mindful Schools Certified Instructor. She is also an Option Process® counselor and yoga teacher. Natalia started meditation studies as a child in her native Argentina; and spent most of her life teaching children and adults languages, and later on yoga and Mindfulness. She is currently teaching at Cambridge Public Schools and senior centers.
