We are pleased to announce the second talk of our quarterly seminar series Scientific Frontiers of Healing — Emerging Mechanisms, Integrative Implications’. The goal is to create a rigorous, curiosity-forward forum for exploring frontier topics in health and healing – where we can examine emerging (and sometimes not-yet-fully-tested) hypotheses while staying grounded in physiology, biophysics, and measurable mechanisms.
This session will be a 90-minute deep dive, followed by dedicated time for Q&A and discussion.

Speaker: Dr. Andrew Ahn brings an interdisciplinary perspective to this series. As an internal medicine physician, former MIT Advanced Study Fellow in biological engineering, researcher of acupuncture mechanisms, lead medical advisor for the prize-winning Team Dynamical Biomarkers (Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE), and Chief Medical Officer of a digital health startup, his work sits at the intersection of biophysics, physiology, and traditional healing arts. This series will draw on that experience to probe plausible mechanisms underlying integrative therapies – and to frame testable questions for research and clinical translation.
