This clinical case presentation will focus on the integrative treatment plan of a patient with years of post concussive headaches, recalcitrant to treatment, cured through myofascial treatment.
Speaker Bios:
Jay Luthar, MD is a primary care physician starting an integrative concierge practice in Back Bay, Lutanen Health. He delivers personalized care for both chronic and acute conditions, with a strong focus on lifestyle and mind-body medicine. He is an Instructor at HMS and teaches in the physical diagnosis and reasoning course, maintains a staff appointment at Brigham and Women’s, and mentors fellows in the Osher Collaborative Fellowship Program.
Carolyn Bernstein, MD, FAHS is a neurologist with a subspecialty certification in Headache Medicine and is Fellow of the American Headache Society. She is a faculty member of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Division of Neurology, and is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and North American Menopause Society. Doctor Bernstein’s interests include migraine disorders, hormonal headache and the use of integrative therapies in the treatment of headaches and pain, with a focus on lifestyle and wellness.
Lina Hudson, PT, DPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy working independently in the Back Bay. Lina incorporates eastern theory with traditional western physical therapy. She integrates both with needling and the Stecco model of Fascial Manipulation. Lina’s practice is 360 Balance Physical Therapy, and she can also be found at Sollus Unified Health, a practice that focuses on the human fascia system.
