The Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital were honored to co-host Dr. Vikram Patel, The Pershing Square Professor of Global Health and Wellcome Trust Principal Research Fellow at the Harvard Medical School at our November 5th, 2019 Integrative Medicine Grand Rounds.

Drawing upon his own mother’s epic struggle with a range of chronic diseases in India, Dr. Patel shared the growing evidence on the economic and social consequences of poor-quality care for chronic diseases in the global context and his own work to improve the quality of care for people with chronic diseases.
