Mind-body approaches have been proven to significantly improve health and quality of life for those with illnesses that are caused or made worse by stress, including cardiovascular disease, hypertension, obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, pain and fatigue syndromes, mood disorders and many others.

This one-day CME accredited conference, focusing on cardiovascular health, will include more than a dozen faculty experts leading scientific lectures and hands-on skills sessions, including our very own Drs. Peter Wayne, Darshan Mehta and Helene Langevin.

The program has been designed with both conventional and complementary and alternative medicine practitioners in mind
, and will provide an introductory framework to expand your knowledge and competence in mind-body interventions.Experts in their field will provide guidance on:
  • Self-care techniques and lifestyle interventions you can use in your treatment of patients
  • Scientific rationale for these interventions and evidence of efficacy
  • Skill development exercises for meditation, yoga, tai chi, and other mind-body techniques designed to elicit the relaxation response
This conference is being jointly presented by the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine and the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
