hubweek-boston-2016-imageJoin the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine’s Director, Dr. Greg Fricchione and Director Emeritus, Dr. Herbert Benson on Sunday, September 25th for De-Stress Boston, the free stress reduction/relaxation session that kicks off Boston’s HubWeek.  This free, two-hour program of mind-body, meditation, stress reduction techniques and music will be hosted by the BHI at Massachusetts General Hospital.  It is a wonderful way to start your week.
The theme for De-Stress Boston this year is the intersection of mindfulness, happiness and music.  Dr. Herbert Benson will lead the crowd in a relaxation response exercise and Folie A Quatre, a quartet of MGH’s psychologists and researchers, will not only perform, but explain how music can positively impact mental health.

Laura Malloy, BHI’s Director of Yoga Programs, will lead the crowd in laughter yoga, and our keynote speaker is Dr. Robert Waldinger, who directs the Harvard Study on Adult Development.  Dr. Waldinger’s TedTalk on happiness has reached hundreds of thousands of viewers and is often cited in the news.

De-Stress Boston will be held Sunday, September 25th at 10 a.m. in the Yawkey Building lobby at MGH, and it is free and open to the public.  We simply ask that those who wish to attend sign up in advance at https://hubweek.org/events/destress-boston/.
