Post-Doctoral Fellowship Opportunity – Sleep Medicine

The Program in Sleep Medicine Epidemiology in the Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders at Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH) is seeking candidates for post-doctoral research fellowship positions.
 
Sleep Disparities/Yoga ResearchThe post-doctoral fellow will conduct research aimed at adapting yoga and behavioral sleep interventions for use in low income communities and designing studies to test intervention effectiveness. Additional research may involve assessment of mHealth devices, studies of the social and physical neighborhood environment, and complementary experimental neuroimaging studies to map mechanistic responses.   Candidates should have knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research, a good publication record, and (preferably) experience with behavioral, clinical or epidemiological studies.  A background in sleep, health disparities or epidemiology is desirable.
 
BWH is a 777-bed academic medical center and teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. The Program in Sleep Medicine Epidemiology is comprised of a diverse, multidisciplinary team of experts in sleep medicine/epidemiology, informatics, biomedical engineering, social epidemiology, genetic statistics and biostatistics.  Researchers have access to state-of-the art clinical research facilities at the Center for Clinical Investigation, part of the Harvard Catalyst [Clinical and Translational Research Center].
 
There is strong Institutional and Departmental commitment to research training, with many opportunities for career development and continuing education. Post-doctoral fellows are expected to take part in our institutional training program in “Sleep, Circadian and Respiratory Neurobiology” (http://sleep.med.harvard.edu).
